What a fantastic day! On Sunday, 24th November, Riders in Finance 2024, hosted by Hai Money, brought together industry professionals for a unique event celebrating the spirit of adventure and the camaraderie within the finance community. This year’s gathering was a roaring success, featuring brokers, lenders, and industry professionals who joined us for a day of excitement, connection, and fun.
Ask any biker about the allure of the open road, and you will hear about the unique blend of freedom, challenge, and connection it provides. “Riding offers a way to de-stress, letting the wind carry away life’s pressures while the adrenaline reminds us why we love what we do,” shared Bruce Li, Head of Growth and Strategy at Hai Money. Inspired by this philosophy, Bruce set out to combine the thrill of riding with the collaborative spirit of the finance industry.
Starting with a scenic ride through Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, the event shifted gears to a relaxed picnic at Bobbin Head Picnic Ground. Riders and non-riders alike gathered to enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and meaningful conversations. The inclusivity and family-friendly atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for both networking and unwinding.
We were also honoured to receive words of encouragement from Peter White, Managing Director of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA). While he was unable to attend, he shared his thoughts on the event:
“With Riders in Finance, this is a great initiative. I started a small riders’ group in Queensland but found time a challenge. Seeing groups like this emerge in the motorcycle and finance sectors is fantastic for connecting like-minded people while supporting each other’s mental health. This is invaluable, and I look forward to being part of future rides.”
Darryl Lovegrove from Yamaha Motor Australia added his expertise and passion for riding, making the event even more memorable.

By merging these passions, we created something meaningful,” said Bruce Li.
